Football boots in general are not rare, but the New Balance X Unisport Furon V7 could potential be some of the rarest boots that exist right now. Here’s what they are, how they differ from the regular Furon V7s and how to get them.
New Balance Team up with Unisport
New Balance is making waves in the football boot world. With the likes of Sadio Mane, Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling on their books, it’s clear that their ambitions are to challenge Nike and Adidas at the top of the market.
Last month, the US firm partnered once again with Unisport to produce an absolute gem of a football boot. Previously, the two have partnered, creating a Audazo limited-edition of the V6 model. Here’s exactly what they’ve produced this time around.
New Balance X Unisport Synced Furon V7 Football Boots
Take the Furon V7s and give them a Unisport makeover and you get a ‘Synced’ version of the esteemed football boots. Like the originals, the upper is made from Hypoknit material, that gives that soft touch when the ball comes your way. The offset lacing allows for a larger surface area that can connect with the ball. Therefore, your strike will be cleaner and less interfered by your laces.
So, all sounds pretty similar to the original. What’s actually different?
What’s the Difference Between the Original Furon V7s and the Synced Unisport Edition?
New Balance haven’t reinvented the wheel, and why would they? They already produced an absolute solid football boot. So, the main and (as far as we can tell) only difference between the original Furon V7s and the Synced Unisport edition is the colourway.
We reviewed the Furon V7s, and the Destroy editions we looked at were in plain black. These Unisport boots are anything but plane.
The entire boot is a minty green colour that fluctuates between one light and one darker shade. They look like a true piece of art and appear even better on the pitch. If you’re looking to terrorise defenders, bang these bad boys on and let your feet blend in with the pitch.
WARNING – they won’t be everyone’s proverbial cup of tea. The green does somewhat resemble a nauseating colour, but if you’re on the other side of the fence you’ll think these are slick and sharp-looking.
Price – How Much do these Limited Edition V7s Cost?
We won’t sugarcoat it, they aren’t cheap. The Limited Edition Unisport V7s cost €244.95. There’s good reason though. As we said, these are a good pair of football boots, but it’s not just that. Supply and demand often dictates market prices, and while we know demand will be high, we also know that a super low supply is the reason these aren’t cheaper. Let us explain…
Are the New Balance X Unisport Furon V7s the Rarest Boots on the Planet Right Now?
I’m sure Erling Haaland or Jude Bellingham have a one-off pair of their boots tucked away in their house, preserved for sentimental value, that could be considered the rarest boots. However, these anomalies aside, the Limited Edition Unisport boots are perhaps some of the most exclusive on the planet right now (*that are available to the public).
This is because just 250 pairs were made in total.
How Can You Get the Unisport Furon V7 Football Boots?
While you can technically buy these, by the time you’re reading this it may be too late. To get them, you must be a member of Unisport. Once you’re a member, you can get access to all sorts of exclusive promos and products.
When you’ve become a member, simply visit the Furon V7 Synced page and you’ll be able to make the purchase – assuming there is availability still.
