Chelsea football boot squad profile – (Which boots do Emerson, Kante and Batshuayi wear?)

Frank Lampard’s young Chelsea team has brought some life back to the London Club. They’re playing exciting, inconsistent football where you never know what you’ll get. We love it! With a lot of new emerging players, you may not yet know what boots they’re wearing. So we’re going to give you a look at what football boots the Chelsea players are wearing. Lets hope their boot selection is as exciting as their brand of football.

What football boots do the Chelsea players wear for the 2019/20 season?

What’s the most popular football boots brand in the Chelsea team?

Adidas – 6

Nike – 6

Nike and Adidas are equally popular football boots brand in the Chelsea team, with 50% of players wearing one or the other.

What’s the most popular football boot in the Chelsea team?

Nike Mercurial Vapor XIII Elites are the most popular football boots in the Chelsea team. They’re also our favourite footy boot right now. Check out why in our Mercurial Vapor Elites review

Kepa Arrizabalaga wears Adidas X19.1

Catching a keeper in a speed boot may seem strange but the way keepers play these days its not exactly a surprise. Fast off his line, the Adidas X19.1 boots have a solid stud pattern keeping Kepa from slipping and sliding. Or maybe they’re just his favourite and he refuses to sub them. He’s got a thing for refusing substitutions.

César Azpilicueta wears Adidas Copa 19

A solid choice for a solid right back. The classic Copa Mundials are a proper old school footballers boot. Populating millions of pitches around the world, everyone has had a pair and no one has ever complained. The new Copa 19 are a modern take on these. The soft leather upper and lace-less design are a beautiful combination that we haven’t seen before. They give a silky soft touch on the ball but sturdy feel for those crunching tackles. A great boot for our man and Cheslea captain Dave.

Kurt Zouma wears Nike Phantom Venom Elite

A centre-back in a strikers boot? Maybe he’s wearing them to get deep in the mind of striker. Maybe wearing a strikers boot helps him to think like a striker, staying one step ahead when defending. The Phantom Venom are a great boot that we love and are great whatever position you play. Yes, the strike zone element does make them targeted at strikers but who doesn’t love to see a defender having a go from 40 yards.

Fikayo Tomori wears Adidas Copa 19

Another one in the Adidas Copa 19, maybe they got a good deal? Or maybe it’s just that the Copa 19 are a pretty damn good boot (and they get paid to wear them). Tomori has only recently started to solidify his place in the Chelsea starting XI. He was with Lampard in his time at Derby so is player that Lampard trusts. With a boot choice like this, we would trust him too. A proper leather boot with some modern class sprinkled on top. How can we fault that?

Emerson wears Adidas Nemeziz 19.1

A lesser spotted boot here. The Nemeziz seems to be a nemesis to many players. Emerson isn’t a definite starter in this Chelsea team and his boot choice is equally questionable. We did recently test out the Nemeziz 19.1 and while we aren’t sure on the look of them they actually perform pretty well.

N’Golo Kante wears Adidas X19.1

There’s a real Adidas vibe going on in the first half of this Chelsea team. N’Golo Kante is a man that you just have to love. Player of the year when Leicester won the league. Top performances again when Chelsea won the league. Wouldn’t even ask to lift the trophy when he helped guide France to the World Cup last year. Still drives a Mini. Seems like the nicest, most humble man in football if you ask us. While his boots might not seem suited to a centre midfielder, he probably doesn’t care. He’s busy covering every blade of grass on the pitch and winning things.

Jorginho wears Nike Tiempo Legend VIII Elite

Exactly what you’d expect from your centre midfielder. A pair of Nike Tiempos. These boots are real legends of the game and have been worn by Pirlo, Totti and Ronaldinho. All of whom had their own beautiful signature pair made for them by Nike. If Jorginho ever reaches that level then Chelsea fans will have had a lot to celebrate. His Tiempos are actually customised and while we can’t know specifics they look to be a smoother surface than the normal Tiempo’s. Either way another proper solid choice of boots.

Willian wears Nike Mercurial Vapor XIII Elite

Finally, some flair in this Chelsea team. We’re going to see a lot of these from here on out. The Vapor 13 are possibly our favourite boots right now. It’s clear to see why they’re so popular, they perform excellently and look stunning. Willian may be clinging onto his place in the Chelsea team as one of the older players. But the little Brazilian has got a bit of class and so do his boots.

Mason Mount wears Nike Phantom Vision Elite

One of our favourite Chelsea players. There’s just something about him that we love. We really hope he fulfils the potential he’s shown and becomes an England regular. He’s wearing the Phantom Vision which is a great choice for a playmaking midfielder. They’re a real all-rounder combining touch, comfort, speed and agility.

Christian Pulisic wears Nike Mercurial Vapor XIII Elite

The start to his Chelsea career had us all thinking he could be another Salah/De Bruyne/Lukaku. Someone who fails at Chelsea, but absolutely flames at their next team, making Chelsea look stupid. His recent form has changed this. He is suddenly looking like as good a replacement as you might find for Eden Hazard. He’s playing in the same beautiful Vapor 13 as Hazard and his performances are coming close to matching his predecessor too.

Tammy Abraham wears Nike Mercurial Vapor XIII Elite

Another one. Whilst the first half of the team was dominated by Adidas, the second half is all about Nike. And we don’t blame the players for this. The current range from Nike is fire and the most recent releases just get better and better. A bit like Abraham, just getting better and better. He may seem like he’s been around for ages but that’s because he’s been banging goals in since 18 on loan at Bristol City. He’s still only 22 and with a bit of luck could be leading the line for England in the coming years.

Michy Batshuayi wears Various Adidas

Yeah, we’ve already got a starting 11 but we had to give Michy some props. Immortalised in meme form for his goal celebration vs England. His boot choice is much better than his celebrations. We’ve seen him in some Adidas X19.1 featuring a bat on the heel counter for a cheeky personal twist. Recently we have also seen him bring out some 2012 F50 Adizero Leather. Perhaps he’s hoping the boots will help him rediscover his form from that time.

Top 5 best football boots of 2020

Quality. Class. Superiority. No, it’s not what I think I have after a few pints, but it’s something all these boots have. These aren’t just good, or decent, these are the creme de la creme of boots. These are rock up on a Sunday morning, beat six players, nutmeg your own teammate then rabona the keeper while singing P.I.M.P kind of boots. **Disclaimer** we do not encourage you, nor endorse that th...[Read More]

Nike Phantom Venom Elite football boot review

The Nike Phantom Venom has been dubbed as the return of the power-boot. The return of the Total 90 type boot that we absolutely loved to wear as a kid. They definitely gave you an extra bit of power in long-range shots! Unfortunately, the line came to an end in 2012. And although we are HUGE fans of the Hypervenom Phantom it wasn’t a real power-boot. With the new Phantom Venoms that has changed. S...[Read More]

Nike Mercurial Vapor Elite XIII football boot review

Nike. Mercurial. Vapor. These three little words will always have us dreaming of amazing things. The gloriously smooth original Ronaldo step over, ghosting past a defender prime Henry style, and firing a free-kick into the top corner a la Ronaldo vs Portsmouth. They’ve conquered all of Europe (six times now), and according to their fans they’re ‘never gonna stop.’ Realistically, they will probably stop at some point. Here are the best football boots of 2019

2018 was an interesting year for football. All oil-money jokes aside, Man City have been an established English football side for decades. Albeit, things changed hugely in 2008, but we should take nothing away from the team that they were before then.
